My friend at school has taught me how to make these cute bows. I'm making them to give as end-of-the-year gifts to girls in my class, and hopefully, I will have A GIRL someday and she'll look so cute wearing them! ;)

I've Jumped On...
The Twilight bandwagon that is... I wanted to read the book before the movie came out and I'm enjoying it so much! I can't wait to read New Moon and Eclipse.

The Rhombus

This past week I have been teaching the kids about shapes in their Math unit. They have been introduced to new shapes, like the trapezoid, parallelogram, and rhombus. I taught them that the diamond is more correctly termed "rhombus." I was pleasantly surprised today at recess when the kids were gathered together searching for rocks, and I overheard two of them saying, "Let's go look for a rhombus-shaped rock!!!" They had no idea I was standing there, but they had incorporated it into their vocabulary and their little lives! I was so excited! They really do LEARN from me!
